The CSR Department planted camellias in front of the Akasaki Junior High School building which was just completed as a temporary school building after the main building was completely destroyed by the tsunami.
All the students participated in planting the camellias. 41 seedlings representing the number of students in the 9th grade class were planted and plates with their Haiku were hung on them as well.
A Haiku of one female student read, ”Goishi-Tsubaki sways and smiles in the ocean breeze.” She told us that she would like to become an elementary school teacher in the future.”
With this camellia planting, we hope to continue strengthening our bond with the people of Ofunato City.
