SHISEIDO EUROPE TO HOST “EUROPEAN SYMPOSIUM IN PARIS”
Shiseido Group is celebrating 100 years* of its start of research and development this year. As a part of the initiative, Shiseido Europe hosted a science symposium that could communicate Shiseido’s advanced technology globally on June 8, 2016 in Paris, France. The name of the event is “European Symposium in Paris.”
Shiseido announced its medium-to-long-term strategy VISION 2020 in December 2014 and initiated reforms for the future. Technology & Science are considered to be our strengths and it is one of the pillars to enforce R&D. We will host this science symposium in order to communicate Shiseido’s advanced R&D and technology worldwide. We will also position this symposium to cultivate the image of Shiseido which the younger generation adores.
After a speech for hosting of the symposium by Mr. Desazars - President & CEO, Shiseido EMEA, Dr. Fisher at CBRC* who has been in responsible for the world-leading researches for American dermatology gave a presentation on “most updated dermatology study”. Following it, Researcher Moriyama at Shiseido Research Center had the presentation on “functional research on aroma” and Researcher Ezure did about “sagging skin caused by fat cells”. At site, there were unconventional events such as projecting “live tweets” updated proactively from all over the world on the screen beside a main one. Both science and beauty major students were enjoying attendance and auditing very passionately. We would plan to execute these thrill actions proactively in Japan for the future.
